Red Carpet | Golden Globes

Awards season has officially begun and the Golden Globes gave us some beautiful gowns to admire. Although I watched the red carpet like a hawk, I have to admit that I totally zoned out about and hour and a half into the show. My best friend called and we chatted for a while, so I missed a big chunk of the show...but, really, beyond the opening monologues not too much has ever happened in-between, right? I loved so many of the dresses this year. I haven't included any guys in my roundup because unless it's something super out of the ordinary, let's face it, they all look the same.

This first set of dresses have a super-vintage quality about them, but in the loveliest way. Like, these are the clothes only the really cool, fashionable grandmas would have hiding away in their closets. I love me a black dress. I would probably own about 10 by now if I would allow myself to buy every one I try on. Even though the Globes can get a little colorful and bright, these black numbers had me swooning! Take note, future pregnant-people of Hollywood. The baby bump can be done on the red carpet! Rarely does anyone seem to choose anything remotely flattering, but it must be possible because it was proven last night. Thank you Kerry Washington [Balenciaga] and Olivia Wilde [Gucci Premiere]!
