Hanging on to Summer | Diamond Candle Giveaway

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I don't know if it's the football, the colors of the trees or all the wonderful warm scents and smells (probably a mix of all of those). However, it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine to jump into a season way too early (I'm looking at you, Starbucks!). Summer lasts until exactly September 22nd and I plan on acting like it!

To make my home a little more Summery before we pack up the swim suits, waterproof cameras and tank tops, I can light up my new Watermelon Wedge candle from Diamond Candles. Actually, even before lighting it up, the scent fills the entire room, just from taking off the top. You guys, it's really like having Summer in a jar.

As many of you may know, Diamond Candles places a ring in every single one of their candles. The rings can range in value from $10 to $5,000! Cool, right? The anticipation of waiting for the candle to melt down enough to grab the ring is agonizing, when you're impatient like me. I thought about getting a hair dryer out, to speed up the process, but then I realized that would make me a tad insane!

The first morning, I let it burn for three hours and still had about an inch or two before I would get to the foil ball (which the ring is carefully wrapped up in). That night, I let it burn for about 4 more hours. The next morning I decided I was going to get that ring! I lit it up at 7:20am and by 10:30, I saw the little foil pouch! Blew out my candle as quickly as I could and tweezed it out.

I loved my ring so much! I know it's one of the cheaper ones, but it's makes me feel a little fancy. Mine is a little big on me (I have size 7 ring fingers) and it is not adjustable, but I love it all the same.
