One Day Without Shoes
I've been participating in TOMS' One Day Without Shoes for years now. It's kind of weird, but usually when I participate, I don't have anywhere to go! Nonetheless, I steer clear of my shoes. I usually write on my feet (which is really hard to do, upside-down) on this day each year.
Today, I couldn't think of anything else to write, other than my thoughts being with those affected by the two evil acts yesterday in Boston. I want to rant about it, I want to type up all the angry thoughts buzzing through my brain as I see idiotic uses of social media and my mind keeps reviewing the video footage over and over...but I think it's better to simply ask for the Lord's comfort in days like these. Sometimes there is no logical sense to be made.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
