Dallas | Sweet Tooth Hotel
"Sweet dreams are made of this"
Way back in January, I saw a few abstract Instagrams that fascinated me enough to sign up for ticket notifications for the upcoming mysterious Dallas pop up Sweet Tooth Hotel. When they became available, I snagged tickets for my mom, sister and I for a delayed Mother's Day outing on opening weekend, May 19. The day finally arrived and we got to see what all the sweet talk was about!
"Concepted by husband and wife, Cole and Jencey Keeton, Sweet Tooth Hotel delivers five sugar-themed interactive rooms based on popular treats. Each room is thoughtfully crafted by Built By Bender, a design and fabrication shop whose roster includes a variety of clients from Legacy Hall to the City of Plano, with lots of hidden surprises to uncover." via Sweet Tooth Hotel's About
Upon checkin, we got a quick tour of the hotel, where we heard about all the artists involved at their vision for the rooms. Then, we were free to explore and take some of the most colorful photos that'll ever grace our instagram feeds. It was so fun to go back and forth between the rooms, snack on some candy and use our keyholder props and surprises!
Each room had it's own flair and quirks. You have to be sure to look at every single surface of the space, floor to ceiling. We almost missed this giant sprinkled cake in the kitchen, if we hadn't opened up one of the cabinets at the last minute.
Definitely not your conventional Mother's Day outing, but it turned out to be perfect for us. We got some really fun pictures with our mom and shared a lot of laughs throughout each space.
