K'NEX Date Night

A few months ago, my boyfriend and I walked by the toy aisle in Walmart and he saw a K'NEX set. He started telling me all about him putting K'NEX together as a kid and how fun it was. A month went by and I made sure remember to buy a set as a part of his Christmas gift. 

He was so excited to put it together, but let me know that it was something we would have to build together. ALL 1,113 pieces of it!

I didn't know what I was in for! Neither did he. Apparently, I bought the most extreme K'NEX set ever. A lot more reading and thinking that I thought it would be. 

About 3 hours in, it started looking like an actual roller coaster. 

FIVE AND A HALF hours, 1,000+ pieces and one large pizza later,
we had our moving DoubleShot coaster.

The box said that this set was for kids 9 and up. I've decided that is a lie! At 21-years-old, I don't think I could have done that one my own. The directions were pictures-only and it was really hard to see the angles. After a lot of squinting, you'll get there.

Anyway, if you want a unique, fun date night that tests your patience and teamwork with your man, this is the thing to do! I'm so glad we made it together. Next time I may just have to buy an easier version, though.
